Pearl Certification

Pearl is a national network of third-party vetted and certified home improvement providers with partnerships at the US Department of Energy, EnergyStar, National Association of Realtors, The Appraisal Institute and more. The fact that ESP was accepted to the network is no small feat. Pearl has looked at every aspect of our business and found that we’re a cut above other contractors in the solar industry. Very few other installers can say the same and it benefits our customers that we’re a Pearl-certified pro doing the work for them.

Homeowners receive an emailed packet of documentation, including a Home Certification Report and collateral for Realtors and Appraisers that will help them capture the increase in home value. Research shows that homes with solar sell for more and sell faster on average. Energy-efficient homes reduce cost of living and improve quality of life and comfort.

Homeowners also get access to Green Door, Pearl’s homeowner portal,  if they want other existing energy-efficient upgrades documented or to find a professional that provides certified services. If a customer is going to refinance or sell their home, Pearl even offers a concierge service to help the homeowner capture as much added value as possible and protect the investment through this documentation.

Monthly Solar Health Check

Every month, our technicians will sweep the system to uncover any issues. Homeowners have access to monitoring themselves, but as exciting as it is to show off and check it every day, nobody wants to babysit it forever -  and not everyone has the training to know what to look for. ESP’s service experts will send a notification each time we complete the check and let the customer know if there’s anything we’ll be following up on to maintain optimal performance.

Prioritized Troubleshooting & Support

Subscribers to a Service Plan will receive priority support over non-subscribers.

Performance Guarantee

Our team will identify any issues with the system within 30 days of the issue occurring. If the issue is not caught within that time, we will pay for actual production that was lost during downtime, based on historic data and/or comparable panels in system performance.

*Note that we must connect with the homeowner for confirmation and troubleshooting, and unresponsiveness to our outreach attempts void the guarantee timeframe. We have to use our resources effectively and need to work with the homeowner to help identify and resolve the issues!
